How the AI reads market structure, from the top down

Three timeframes, in this order

• The highest timeframe defines the macro bias. It is the single most important output of the analysis and it overrides every lower signal.
• The intermediate timeframe confirms the current dealing range and the structure inside it.
• The lowest timeframe provides the entry: a change of character after a sweep, a displacement candle, or a return to the optimal zone.

The rule attached is absolute: never take a trade that contradicts the higher timeframe bias. A bullish setup under a bearish higher timeframe is rated C grade or lower, or named a counter-trend trap.

Break of structure and change of character

Two breaks, two opposite meanings, and confusing them is the most expensive mistake on this page.

• A break of structure is continuation. Price breaks in the direction it was already going.
• A change of character is a reversal signal. The break goes the other way.

The analysis maps every significant one that is visible, identifies the most recent decisive break, and states which timeframe is dominant.

The four regimes

Before any level is read, the market is placed in one of four states, because the same level does not mean the same thing in each.

• Trending. Impulsive, with higher highs and higher lows, or the mirror image.
• Ranging. Balanced, going nowhere.
• Volatile. Erratic, with a wide average range.
• Breakout. Leaving a compression.

A support in a trend and a support in a range are two different objects wearing the same name.

The five phases of delivery

The analysis also names where price is in the cycle, which is what tells you whether a move is starting or ending.

• Accumulation. Building inside the discount zone.
• Manipulation. A sweep in progress against the true direction.
• Manipulation complete. The sweep is confirmed, the reversal is beginning.
• Distribution. Delivering into the premium zone.
• Distribution complete. The premium is reached and a reversal is likely.

Premium, discount, and the line between them

Every range is split at its midpoint. Below it is discount, above it is premium, and the analysis states which side price is on before reading anything into a level.

The zone between 61.8 and 78.6 per cent of the retracement is where the analysis looks for an entry after a manipulation. A move chased past the midpoint is not an entry, it is a late one.

Why does the highest timeframe override everything?

Because a setup that fights the dominant bias is the most common way to lose on a chart that looks right. A bullish setup under a bearish higher timeframe is rated C grade or lower, or named a counter-trend trap.
